The Volvo XC60 Plug-in Hybrid comes in five all-wheel drive trims T8 Core, T8 Plus, T8 Ultra, T8 Ultra Black Edition and T8 Polestar Engineered. Powered by a combination direct injection turbocharged 2L 4-cylinder engine and a hybrid electric powertrain that produces a total of 455 horsepower, or 340kW, the XC60 Plug-in Hybrid is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The XC60 has an all-electric range of 35 miles and a charging time of 8 hours using a level 2 charger.
The most basic trim level for the XC60 Plug-in Hybrid is the Core trim, and despite it being the basic trim level it comes well-equipped with standard features that include 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, LED headlights and fog lights, heated front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, a 9-inch touchscreen with built-in Google Services connectivity, mobile hotspot, device connectivity, 4 USB ports, and a 12.3-inch gauge cluster.
A step up, the Plus trim adds a few more creature comforts, including adaptive cruise control, 360 camera, air purifier, and ambient lighting.
The Ultra trim adds 20-inch wheels, cooled front seats, heated rear seats, power lumbar support for the driver and passenger seats, and a head-up display.
The Ultra Black Edition sits atop the lineup with 21-inch wheels, a 14-speaker sound system, voice activated navigation, and a leather steering wheel.
Safety features such as seven airbags, a rear-view camera, parking sensors, an active lane departure warning system, active blind spot warning, forward and rear collision mitigation, a pedestrian detection system, a driver attention alert and a traffic sign information system all come standard to help to make sure that the XC60 Plug-in Hybrid is the safest it can be.

The Volvo XC60 Plug-in Hybrid is a two-row SUV competing with the likes of the BMW X5 xDrive50e and the Audi Q5 TFSI e. All three are large, two-row, plug-in hybrid, European style, turbocharged SUVs that try to maximize utility and sportiness without compromising quality. While the Volvo nameplate doesn't have quite as much luxury or sporting cachet as its German rivals, Volvo has rightfully earned an undisputed reputation for safety that shows no signs of slowing down with their newest vehicle. The XC60 Plug-in Hybrid has been designed with safety in mind, with safety features and electronic systems to keep the SUV safely on the road at all times. Reputation aside, the XC60 Plug-in Hybrid is a fantastic SUV with a beautifully designed interior and an incredibly advanced drivetrain.
